Explore Korea’s Best Hiking Trails Without the Stress

South Korea offers some of the most rewarding hiking in Asia. From dramatic granite peaks and national parks to coastal trails and forested valleys, the country is built for exploring on foot.

But for many international residents and  travelers, experiencing these trails is not as straightforward as it first appears.

Why Hiking in Korea Isn’t Always Simple for Visitors

On a map, Korea’s hiking destinations look accessible. In reality, many of the most beautiful trails are located well outside major cities like Seoul, often at the edge of national parks or in rural regions with limited direct transport.

Reaching them independently usually means navigating a combination of intercity buses, local transfers and sometimes only taxis from remote terminals to trail entrances. Schedules are not always easy to interpret, especially when information is only available in Korean and transfers can be infrequent depending on the season or region.

Even once you arrive, the challenges don’t stop.

Trailheads are often spread across multiple entry points, signage can vary, and routes may branch into different difficulty levels without clear guidance in multiple languages (English, French, Japanese, etc).

For first-time visitors, it can be frustrating to be sure you are on the correct path or to understand how long a section will realistically take.

Food and logistics add another layer. Many hiking regions have limited dining options, irregular opening hours, minimum number of diners or require prior knowledge of where to stop for food before or after a hike.

After a long trek, figuring out how to return to Seoul or your next destination can become another complicated problem entirely. What should feel like a day of escaping into peaceful, tranquil nature can quickly become a day of planning, translating, waiting and problem-solving.

A Simpler Way to Experience It

The idea behind our approach is to make hiking in Korea feel accessible.

We organize guided hiking and trekking experiences that connect international visitors directly to Korea’s best outdoor routes, removing the logistical friction that often comes with independent travel.

What This Makes Possible

With everything arranged in advance, it becomes possible to experience Korea’s mountains and trails in a more natural and relaxed way.

All you have to do is go to the meet-up spot in Seoul. Travelers can go confidently through routes while supported by clear planning, reliable transport and guidance throughout the journey.

Our hiking experiences typically include:

  • Access to major hiking destinations outside Seoul and across Korea’s national parks and coastal regions

  • Certified English-speaking hiking guides with knowledge of local trails

  • Fully arranged transport to and from trailheads, removing the need for independent navigation

  • Clear pacing and structured routes suited to different fitness levels

  • Local insight into nature, culture and regional highlights along the way

  • Opportunities to experience local food and communities without needing to plan logistics independently

Whether it is a single-day hike or a longer trekking journey, the focus stays on the trail and not on figuring out how to get there or back.

Our Approach

The focus is on making Korea’s hiking culture genuinely accessible to international travelers.

That means large group & small group guided experiences, clear planning and removing the friction that often prevents visitors from exploring beyond major cities.

It also means prioritizing safety, clarity and local knowledge.

About Us

The experience is built on nearly three decades of outdoor travel and trekking expertise in Korea, through a specialist local travel operator focused on hiking and guided nature experiences.

The word “Dulle” (둘레) refers slow and easy trekking culture in Korea. Where people move slowly and take in nature rather than race to the top of the mountains. Our tours offer a mix of both, with special cultural and Korean heritage trips for good measure.
